Cubdriver / Glenn - mind me asking what you use for a camera?  Can you control it remotely or does it run all the time?  We took some great photos last weekend while on skis and ice fishing - but i would like to get some video.

GoPro Hero2 1080x 30 with remote backpack. Taking video is easy editing is a pain in the a$$. I now take 10 to 20 seconds snipits and it make editing easier. I'm still a cherry but I'm learning.

The snow sucks in central NYS so Carbon Cub Joe flew up Sat morning and we headed north to find some snow. First stop was Speculator for breakfast and then up and around to Stillwater. We found some snow but not much on the ground. Fun day.

Started out a little chilly. Was a little below 0 at 7:30 am but a big yellow sun was poking up over the hill. Joe showed up and landed in my runway fluff around 8:30. We got some gas and coffee and headed over to met Todd and his Ercoupe on skis and headed North to meet the boy's at Speculator for breakfast.

Something you don't see everyday

Speculator

Saranac Lake, was -25 below at 7am

Ice castle was only half of what they build some years but it was a crummy ice year.

Finally got the video edited from last Sunday, Had some problems getting the camera to start and stop a few times. I'ts a little long but it's three and a half hours cut down to this. Hope you like it

10 of us met at Speculator NY for breakfast and then headed up to Saranac Lake the long way following the lakes. It was -25 at Saranac at 7am but had warmed up by the time we got there at noon. We headed back down to 7th lake where Rich and Scott Revoir made us lunch. The weather was awesome.

What a day, if we had put an order into the weatherman we couldn't have done any better. Tim was having menstrual pains so he didn't come along.
Meade, Tom, Joe, David, Ed and Lo and I had a great day. Ralph and Ray were with us at the saphouse but left after that.

So we flew back to my place so that Tom and I could fuel up before heading north

Then North to Long Lake

The Champ and I went to Stillwater and the rest of the crew headed back to NH

Stopped at a friends camp on the way home

Great day, thanks guy's

I was fueling up this morning and heard an airplane up high and jumped on the handheld and it was CCJoe riding a tailwind North to Big Moose Lake for the races. 2 SC and I headed North and stopped at Toms place so I could show it to the crew. We left there and headed up to Big Moose to have lunch with Joe. The SC headed home and I later ran into Joe again so we headed East to the Sport Island Pub. Nice day 50F, flew over and hour with the door open on skis.

Back to the saphouse by myself, I know boring but thats all the gas money I had.

Went back home and picked up the spousal unit, she does Letterboxing ( like geocaching ) get clues on internet and go hunting. This island was the spot so I dropped her off and went flying while she was hunting.

Went back out late afternoon, flew around over an hour with the door open

Hoping for one more weekend but that big ball in the sky is trying to ruin it.
