Shipping skis from Alaska to the Lower 48???

Has anyone recently shipped a pair of skis from Alaska to the Lower 48? Ten years ago, I shipped a crate with skis and other aircraft stuff from Anchorage to Minneapolis with Alaska Direct. It only cost $200. Alaska Direct is no longer in business, so I’m looking for another inexpensive way to ship skis. I tried Minn-Alaska Transport but they wanted $750. There has to be a less expensive company out there, since most of the trucks returning from Alaska must be near empty.

Wanted: Aero or Federal 2000 skis!!!  1946 Taylorcraft BC12D with Edo 1320 floats.

This time of year I would think a lot of folks would be heading south for the winter. Throw an add on alaskalist, someone might be glad for an extra couple hundred for gas money
