Trying to identify a pair of skis

My friend ended up with a pair of old skis.  They have aluminum bottoms with a real steep curl on the front.  They actually clamp onto the wheel with a steel tube structure and a band clamp over the top of the tire.  Wanted to attach a pic but couldn't figure out how to get it from my IPad to here.  Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like you have a set of Callair skis. They were known for their clamp-on capability. Is there a dataplate on em somewhere?
