We don't plow the runway at 2B9 (Post Mills, Vermont) so we either fly off skis or don't fly until May.  We have 2 J-3's, 2 Champs, a Chief, and my beloved 41VT, all on skis for the season that opens up every field, pond, and lake to us for exploring ways to get in and out of, and leave tracks behind that probably make someone wonder what the heck created them.  All our tail skis are homebuilt, fabricated from aluminum sheet and heavy wall tube.
