	Trick Air Ski Plane fly-in at Jackson Seaplane Base McGregor, MN set for January 20th, 2018 3rd times a charm. Here we go again. The 3rd annual Trick Air ski plane fly in is set for January 20th with a back up day set for Sunday the 21st. This event was covered by Flying magazine last year so all of the cool kids are coming this year. Weather didn't cooperate last year on our original weekend but we had great attendance on the rescheduled date. Same brief as last year and I will get more information up as the day gets closer. If anyone wants to make a trip of it I can handle overnight guests and welcome you. Let me know via PM or email. Pencil it in and hope for thick ice and decent snow... The base is on the east shore to the south of Horseshoe Lake. Mogas is available at the supper club on the NE corner if needed. MN61 46-43-00.81N 93-12-36.80W 1225 MSL If you are coming a distance and want to overnight Friday and or Saturday bring a fart sack and a pad as I will have room at the main cabin but a shortage of bunks. I have power for your Tanis but please bring cords for your plane. We should be able to park some on shore this year as the seaplane ramp had tree trimming this summer and is now passable to get to ramp in front of hangar. It was cold and we have lots of good hard ice with about 6 inches of powdery snow over it. If this snow holds we can easily plow a surface for the wheeled guys (dare I say parallel ski and non ski runways?) We are part of the ski plane feature in Flying in the February issue. The winner of last year's bomb drop contest will be signing copies of the article at the event. Hoping for a little warming trend and decent snow.....a boy can hope.

	How did the fly-in turn out? Did Flying magazine return with more journalists in tow? Who won the bomb drop, or did the DHS outlaw it?
